Homesteads and Homeschools

Dec 26, 2019

The meat chickens time came and it was a family event. Our very own little assembly line of dunking, plucking, and eviscerating chickens. We talked future garden plans, potential changes to our homeschool in the coming months, and a cameo from my son! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, a fabulous Boxing Day and are gearing up for a splendid New Year's Day.

Just your sunsetting.

After Thanksgiving leftovers are all cooked down and used up, it's time to make the broth. Seven quarts of turkey broth for later use.

Ms. Taco, aka Pirate Kitty, keeping the rat population down.

Jacky boy, by far the best dog I've owned in my lifetime!

Over fed these chickens. Learning for next go.

And now they're in the cooler. 75 pounds of home grown meat!
